Knight And Day

Personal Review:

The movie was funny and there were lots of action going on. Lots of talking as well. I must say not one of my favourite movies compared to Toy Story 3, Harry Potter etc.

PLOT:

Roy Miller(Tom Cruise) and June Havens(Cameron Diaz) bumped into each other twice at the airport. When June was about to enter the plane, her ticket was denied. June then came up with an excuse saying that her sister's wedding was on the next day and she needed to get onto this flied really badly. However, she still was denied. Roy who was next in line told June that most of the things happened for a reason. Meanwhile, Agent Fitzgerald believing that June was working with Roy, puts her in the plane. When June was in the wash room, the remaining passengers all attack Roy. After a forward moment where June kisses Roy, he calmly informs her that everyone on the plane is dead, including the pilots. June thought it was a joke and kept laughing. Roy then entered the cockpit and the bodies of the passengers begin to shift around the plane.

The plane crashed into a corn field. Roy then drugged June and sent her home. He also her that people will come and find her and that, if they constantly repeat that she is being taken somewhere "safe and secure", they are planning to kill or imprison her.

June woke up to find herself in her bedroom. She struggles through a day fitting a bridesmaids dress for her sister's wedding, and is shocked to learn her sister would like to sell their father's GTO, which June had planned on finishing as a wedding present. June was then picked up by several agents. Roy arrived and, through a long gunfight on the highway, kills several agents and reclaims June.

June flees away but it always seemed that Roy knew where to find her. June then fled to Rodney, a firefighter and former boyfriend. Believing Havens is merely stressed and is playing out a fantasy, Rodney tries to comfort her until Roy arrives and kidnaps June, handcuffing her and shooting Rodney is a specific non-vital area and telling him it'll make him a hero and virtually guarantee his promotion to Lieutenant.

Roy explained that June would be safe with him and thus she decided to follow him as they went to pick up Simon Feck, a genius inventor who created a perpetual energy battery called the Zephyr. Roy arrived at his safe house where he left Simon, only to find out that he was gone. However, Roy manged to find out where Simon was heading to. However, both Roy and June were ambush by men belonging to Antonio, a Spanish arms dealer. After again drugging June, she drifts in and out of consciousness between their capture and escape from Antonio's men, and Roy brings her to an island that is off the grid, which Roy uses as a safe house. Accepting a call from her sister after leaving in frustration, June accidentally leads the CIA straight to the hideaway. They try to kill the two of them with a remote drone.

Since June hated to be drugged, Roy knocked her out and was transported to a train heading through the Alps, which Simon left as a message in code for Roy. June woke up but did not see the message written by Roy, telling her to stay in the room. She went out to get some breakfast. She then encountered Danny, a German Assassin who pretended to be Simon. But June found out and by the time it was too late. Luckily Roy came to her aid. June used a trick thought by Roy, and Danny was knocked from a window and killed by a train.

Roy, Simon and June ended up in a hotel in Spain. Roy told the both of them to stay in their rooms while he went out to do something. He met with a cutout of Antonio and was stalked by June who felt heartbroken when she found out that Roy was intending to sell Zephyr to Antonio. She was then picked by the CIA and was told that June could assist the CIA crew by pressing the tip of a given spy gadget pen when she is near Roy and the CIA would come to her aid immediately. However, Roy managed to escape but got shot and falls into a canal.

June returned home and heads to an address she remembered from Roy's iPhone, where she finds Roy's parents. They believe their son, a former Army sergeant and Eagle Scout, is dead; but they are fabulously wealthy from winning lotteries and sweepstakes they don't remember entering. Leaving a message that she has the Zephyr, she is captured by Antonio's men and taken back to Spain. She is drugged with truth serum before being rescued by Roy, who was tracking Fitzgerald, who was delivering Simon to Antonio.

Chasing Fitzgerald, they finally came to a stop at a small port. Roy surrendered the Zephyr in a small satchel but was shot when he saved Simon. Simon told Roy that the battery was unstable, thus it blew up, killing Fitzgerald. But Roy dropped to the ground due to a gunshot wound. After waking up in a hospital, Roy received an apology from the director, who tells him that June had gone home to move on with her life and claims that Roy can't be distracted. Roy was later given medication by a nurse, who turned out to be June. After June breaks Roy out of the hospital, he wakes up in the rebuilt GTO that belonged to June's father. After Roy asked her what day it was, June kisses him and says it's someday. This is a reference from the start of the movie that they both have things they want to do someday, and June begins to drive towards Cape Horn.
